Chartering a cruise boat or ship for scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking or just relaxing and sightseeing is a wonderful experience. Although joining a scuba diving liveaboard cruise is considerably less expensive than your own diving charter, and also gives everyone the opportunity to meet and make new friends, there really is nothing to beat having the seas and the boat to yourselves. There are several diving boats and ships available for charter in and around the Similan Islands. We are able to offer a number of vessels, ranging in size, luxury, budget, and sailing locations. Some of our chartered diving boats are normally used on liveaboard diving cruises, but can be reserved for private use. MV Pawara is a classic example. She spends most of the Similan Islands diving season running 4 Day / 4 Night liveaboard cruises, but is available for private hire, provided that enough notice is given to and by all involved.
Our range of available diving charters is never complete. While there is a good selection on this ever-growing page, we are constantly looking for more diving boats for charter. If there is something that you are particularly after but can’t see it here, please let us know. There’s always a diving boat available for charter that is waiting for its turn to be uploaded onto the website.
Most of our diving boats to be chartered are mid-size vessels, capable of taking a dozen to twenty lucky passengers. However, there are some which are considerably larger as well as those which are designed for families and available for much lower rates. Diving or snorkelling on your own chartered boat in the Similan Islands is truly an experience to behold and remember for life. However, it’s not just the Similan Islands which are popular for those after a private diving charter in Thailand. The Surin Islands are home to the world-famous Richelieu Rock, along with some much less-visited diving sites, which are extremely healthy and colourful. The Surin Islands differ quite noticeably from The Similan Islands, with their own indigenous species of birds, mammals and reptiles for those who don’t dive, or want to explore the land during surface intervals. Sailing on a chartered yacht in Thailand is usually done by those who want peace and quiet. They want to be away from the crowds of scuba diving liveaboards and day trip speedboats. This is a very good reason why so many end up at the Surin Islands, and even more are venturing into Burma (Myanmar). In fact, with Burma (Myanmar) recently offering its people democratic reforms it is really opening up to tourism and that is only good news for scheduled and chartered diving boats in the Andaman Sea. The Mergui Archipelago is abundant with healthy marine life on reefs surrounding its more than 800 islands, most of which are uninhabited. One must also remember that south of The Simlan Islands there are a number of other exciting, relaxing, and wonderful places to sail your diving charter in Thailand. Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are often incorporated into cruises near or to the famous Phi Phi Islands, and then on to Koh Haa.
