Similan Diving Tours’ hundreds of customers each season all come to Khao Lak from other parts of Thailand before starting their diving cruise on one of our boats.
Most arrive in Phuket and many return to Phuket or go on to visit Khao Sok national park. The south of Thailand does not have a good public transport system, although there are some public buses which run from Phuket & Krabi. While many of our diving boats offer free or inexpensive transfers, these are at set times and often take a long time because they pick up other guests along the way. A large number of our guests ask us to arrange a private taxi before or after their diving trip to the Similan Islands.
Cheaper Than Hotel Taxis is a well-established company who are based in central Khao Lak. All of the vehicles are new, and the drivers are safe & helpful. They offer pick ups from almost anywhere in Phuket at any time of day or night. They can also pick guests up from Krabi or around Khao Lak and transfer to many locations. The most popular service is pick ups from (or drop offs to) Phuket International Airport. They have four types of vehicle, which are Toyota Altis sedans for 1-3 passengers, Toyota Camry luxury sedans for 1-4 passengers, Toyota Fortuner SUVs for up to 5 passengers, and minivans for small and medium-sized groups. 
All of the private transfers we offer are available at any time of day and night, and you or your group will be the only passengers in the vehicle. 
There is no ‘sharing’ with other customers. The driver will be waiting for you on time with a sign or board showing your name.
We are happy to arrange a taxi for you to collect you from many locations around the south of Thailand and transfer you to your hotel or the dive centre who will manage your Similan diving cruise. We can also arrange for transfers after your Similan dive trip, to the same many destinations. We just need your hotel name or flight information.
