Chong Khat Bay (Ao Chong Khat) is situated between the two main Surin Islands. At low tides it is actually possible to walk across, as the water is extremely shallow.
There isn't a dive site here, but it an excellent place for snorkelling or learning diving skills in among the hard corals of the shallow water. There is plenty of healthy life here, especially juvenile fish who are not ready to survive out in open water. Currents aren't strong enough to be an issue, therefore it's quite safe for kids to snorkel and new divers to learn and practice how to perform the basics, such as clearing masks, sharing air supplies, and controlling their buoyancy.
