MV Nam Sai Overview
Currently not running day trips, but this could change at any time. Please contact us for comparable alternative Similan diving day trips.
Diving on Nam Sai offers the best of both worlds: day trip convenience and the comfort and luxury of a large boat to relax on. At 25m in length, Bam Sai is the size of many liveaboard diving boats, but she goes out to the Similans and back almost every day. Able to cruise at 12 knots, she can reach the dive sites in a very comfortable and relaxing three hours. Similan Islands diving day trips don’t get much more comfortable than on Nam Sai, and the prices are extremely reasonable. There is plenty of space to move around, sit down and eat or relax, and a large dive platform for gearing up.
Nam Sai is a scuba diving day trip boat with a difference. She has three decks and is the size of a liveaboard boat. However, she just goes out to the Similan Islands or Koh Bon and back nearly every day of the week. For those who don’t want to be racing to the dive sites on a bouncy speedboat, Nam Sai is the perfect balance of comfort and convenience. She has plenty of places for guests to sunbathe, eat and drink, watch tv, socialize, or find some private time. The diving deck is massive, meaning that there’s more than enough space for the divers to gear up and there are lots of areas to receive dive briefings. There’s a bar area and plenty of tables and chairs. A western buffet ensures that every taste and appetite is taken care of, including children and vegetarians (on request). There are fresh water showers, an air-conditioned lounge and free fruit and snacks all day long. Guests diving with the boat’s Divemaster guides are supplied with a dive computer for free, and snorkellers get free equipment and a professional snorkel guide. With two dinghies to take care of picking up divers and transporting snorkellers to the best spots, everything is well organised and convenient. While some may think that a speedboat is the best option for Similan Islands day trips, they should consider that the extra time spent on Nam Sai flies by due to the comfort and facilities on board.
