MC Sundancer

MC Sundancer is a purpose-built boat offering Similan Island diving day trips. Its design, facilities, and the team who run it all make for some of the best Similan Islands scuba diving day trips. It also goes to Koh Bon, Koh Tachai & Premchai Wreck.

Sundancer is a fast and stable catamaran designed for comfortable & convenient scuba diving day trips to The Similan Islands, Koh Bon & Koh Tachai. There is plenty of room on board for more than 30 guests and staff. Everyone can relax in comfort while speeding across the waves, thanks to its twin-hull design. Unlike a speedboat that bounces on waves and can rock from side to side, this is a catamaran that stays much more level, even at high speed. During the trip, guests can enjoy tasty breakfast on the way out, a delicious lunch between dives, and an afternoon snack on the way back. Drinking water, soft drinks, & fruit are available throughout the trip free of charge. There is a lounge saloon, places to relax outside and a huge dive deck. Entries into the crystal-clear water from the dive deck are well timed, prepared and organised in groups for safety, enjoyment & convenience.

The boat departs from Khao Lak’s Tab Lamu Pier in the morning. On most days there are 2 dives each day, but (subject to availbility) on Tuesday there is a special 3-dive day trip. This goes to Koh Bon, Koh Tachai (the best dive sites of the Similan Island national park) plus a local wreck dive. 

The boat and its trips are run by an experienced team of Europeans who like to make sure that everything goes to plan, with lots of happy guests. Free local transfers from hotels around Khao Lak are included in the prices, and high-quality diving equipment is available for rent. Dive groups are limited to 4 guests per Divemaster guide, and all the Divemaster guides are experienced, professional and fun. 

Due to new regulations, every guest's passport details are required to buy the national marine park entry ticket. This must normally be done at least 3 days before your trip.
